Harald Oeler received his first lessons on the accordion as a six-year-old. After completing organ studies, he recveived instruction on the accordion in preperation for conservatory study. After succesfully competing in Jugend musiziert and Jugend komponiert he began studying with Prof. Hugo Noth. He continued his studies with Prof Stefan Hussong at the Würzburg Musikhochschule in 2001, where, upon completing his performing arts degree with distinction in 2005, he was accepted into master class. During his studies, Harald Oeler won prizes at national and international competitions, including 3rd Prize at the Third International Accordion Competition Tokyo/Japan 2nd Prize at the 2005 German Music Conservatory Competition, 2nd Prize at the International Accordion Competition Arrasate/Spain and in 2008 1st Prize at the International Accordion Competition Klingenthal/Germany. He was working together with some of the highest esteemed artists of Germany such as Sinn Yang, Anette von Hehn, Thomas Hoppe, Stefan Heinemeyer and Michael T. Otto. Harald Oeler was awarded a scholarship by the German National Merit Foundation and has received support from Yehudi Menuhin Foundation Live Music Now. Harald Oeler pursues a very active career as a concert artist in Germany and internationally, performing as a solist and in various ensembles. Further he is awardee of “Bavarian Cultur Prize 2008”. The results of his musical activity can be heard in Radio all over germany, Television and on various CD-productions.
